Goldfinger's Lair? Tzigan, New York

There seems to be enough gold in new MePa club Tzigan to potentially settle the national debt.
Tzigan, which is an obscure reference to a band of gypsies, is located on the lower level of Villa Pacri, below the Italian-bistro hybrid resto, La Gazzetta. And it is a room decked out in gold, gold and more gold. So much gold, in fact, that we're concerned it may be Goldfinger's underground lair. Only a villanous creature intent on world domination could dream up such a space!
Tzigan is the type of place where a certain supermodel might throw a diamond-encrusted cell phone at her foolhardy assistant--only to be blinded by the bling all around and awkwardly miss, shattering another celeb's Lalique-bottled, 25 year old Scotch. Not that we witnessed such a scandal at Tzigan. But we're just saying, it could happen at a place like Tzigan.
Here's more on Tzigan, courtesy of amNY.

Best Russian Nightclubs Brooklyn NY

You've heard about them...those crazy Russian nightclubs in Brooklyn NY.
And you've always wanted to go, lured by the promise of tasty Russian dishes, crazy Vegas-style shows, and of course, copious amounts of vodka.
amNY had me investigate the best Russian restaurants in Brooklyn, calling upon the advice of our stylish guide, Elle Glazman, owner of Jaime Day Spa (Manhattan), and a regular on the Russian nightlife circuit.
You can find more about Jaime Day Spa here.
Elle knows her way around the best Russian nightclubs and restaurants in "Little Odessa," so check out the story. We promise you won't be disappointed...and it beats a plane ride to Moscow.

And Another One Bites the Dust: Black Betty to Close

Photo from Brooklyn Vegan

Tenant - landlord disputes are such a drag. Especially when they involve super-chill party spots, like our favorite Williamsburg boite, Black Betty.
We're sad to report that June 15th will be the last opportunity you'll have to dance the night away at this lovely little bar.
Oh, Black Betty! You will be sorely missed. Especially the nights when you featured early 90s music. SIGH.
This bar--famous for its bumping dance parties--may be a sinking ship, but it plans to go down in style!
The owners are plotting a blow-out party on June 15th that will feature Rev. Vince Anderson and His Love Choir scheduled to perform a rockin' set that evening.
According to Brooklyn Vegan, "the kitchen and bar, offering North African and Mediterranean dishes and extended happy hours, will be in full swing until close". Hallelujah!
